I was born and raised in Jamaica, where I got my first experience in painting and sandblasting. In 2017, I had the opportunity to immigrate to the US with my family to afford a better life. My first job here was with DESHAZO and I have been with the company ever since. I plan to be with the company long-term and wish to grow with the company as well.

I started working at DESHAZO in December 1991. I worked nights running manual lathes and horizontal boring mills before moving to day shift. After five years, I trained on a CNC lathe which eventually became the main machine I would run until 2008 when I was promoted to supervisor. The greatest lesson I have learned here is that the people working for me are more important than the machines they run and the work that they do and that I can’t make it without them, they are my family and the heart and soul of this shop.

I have been at DESHAZO for 36 years and had the pleasure of working with the founder, ‘Mr. D’ [Lee DeShazo]. In my various positions, I have learned to listen first, then think outside of the box to find the best solution. My wish for the company is that DESHAZO will continue to grow and expand their product base to meet the future and always keep the employees’ interests first!

I have been at DESHAZO since 2009 and have been able to work directly with each branch of the company. As DeSHAZO continues to grow and plan for the future, I have a vision of working with our sales and service teams to provide exceptional customer service from the initial sales call to project completion.
